Bringing the benefits of art to your community
Is there a group, association, organisation or charity that you know who would benefit from art or an art project?
Our projects are varied, our artists can help to run workshops and host 'meet the artist' discussion groups, or we can simply supply some relevant art works as gifts, for example to furnish a hospice ward.
This is a free service, so why not see how Art Town can benefit your community. Please call us to discuss further on 020 7263 5644.
Running practical art workshops with Mind clients and providing opportunities for their art to be seen at exhibition level to the public.
Anne Thomas of Mind Islington
"We at Islington Mind consider that participating in artistic activities is a means of enhancing quality of life by promoting good mental health and wellbeing and promoting recovery.
Art has a range of largely positive impacts for people with mental health problems who undertake creative projects and activities in our services.
The experience of arts for our clients has facilitated: increased self-understanding, prompted self esteem, facilitated self-directed therapeutic processes, feelings of stability, improved communications skills and increased senses of resilience."
